Holden "Smokie" is an Arizona born and raised artist who started tattooing himself back in 2018 while serving as a medic in the U.S. Army. Shortly after returning home Smokie landed himself an apprenticeship that he graduated from in February of 2022. Since then, he has spent time tattooing at a few different shops in the valley as well as traveling to do guest spots in Washington and California. In June of 2025 he got the opportunity to open his first shop, Desert Rein Tattoo, with a close friend, Jonny Hawkins. 

Smokie's favorite style to tattoo in is one with an American Traditional foundation while adding depth and dimension to bring the concept more to life. However, his number one priority is to help turn his clients thoughts into reality by designing in whatever style needed to make that happen.
